In search of the longest or longest rivers in the world, we come across some debates to define the first place. Research and studies have gone beyond what we presumed to be the sources of the Amazon and Nile Rivers.
In 2008, Brazilian and Peruvian studies found that the Amazon (6,992 km) was 140 km greater than the Nile, in concluding that the Amazon is born at the top of the Andes codenters.However, a year later, 2009, other studies pointed out that the Nile River has 7,088 km and that its true source is the Rukarara River (one of the tributaries of the river Akagera, which was formerly considered nascent).
